Quality documentation
Each batch is tracked by the lot reference shown in the specifications table, and the certificate status tells you whether a certificate of analysis is on file for that lot. A peptide certificate of analysis typically reports purity by HPLC, which measures how much of the material is the main component, and identity by mass spectrometry, which confirms that the main component has the expected molecular mass. To request the certificate for your lot, contact our team with the product name and lot reference. Our research guides explain how to read each section of a COA.
Certificate on file means a certificate is held for the lot currently in stock. COA pending means documentation for the current lot is still being finalised; you can ask us to confirm its status before you order.
Working with this vial
Plan reconstitution around your experiment rather than the vial. Decide the working concentration first, then calculate the volume of diluent from the amount stated on the label and, where it is reported, the net peptide content on the certificate. Use calibrated pipettes, record the diluent, volume and date on the vial, and split the solution into single-use aliquots if it will not all be used in one session. Repeated freeze-thaw cycles are a common cause of degradation, so aliquoting protects the rest of the material.
Handling and storage
Lyophilized peptides are generally stored frozen, protected from light and moisture, until they are needed. Let a vial reach room temperature before opening it to limit condensation. To reconstitute, add a suitable sterile diluent such as bacteriostatic water slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking. Reconstituted solutions are generally kept refrigerated and used within a limited period. Always follow the storage guidance in the specifications above and on the vial label.
